This is Sam Gordon. And she has to be one of the fastest and best football players for her age group. According to the statistics that are listed prior to the highlights, Gordon has 1,911 yards rushing on 232 carries, along with 35 touchdowns and 65 tackles.
While there is no question she is utterly skilled, you have to wonder why kids this young are playing tackle football. There is no way any of them know how to truly tackle properly and I would be willing to bet that many of them get hurt from using improper techniques. Not to mention the fact that she is getting 232 carries in a year. How many games are they playing? And why are they playing on a full-size field? Wouldn’t it make more sense to put them on a smaller field and work on skill development?
