Hall of Fame coach Bob Knight didn’t sound like a Hall of Fame announcer Thursday night during the Kentucky-Vanderbilt game.
Knight had absolutely no idea what the difference between the shot-clock and game-clock were.
It was clear that the shot-clock was at 0.0 when Nerlens Noel sunk what would end up being the game-winning shot (should not have counted). To the eyes of 72-year-old Knight, the 17.3 seconds on the game-clock was what he was thinking the shot clock was. Thankfully, Rece Davis was there to take charge and describe to Knight what the two clocks meant.
