Rogers – 3rd ranked prospect in NV, 8th overall DT, and 144th overall prospect in 247 composite rankings for the Class of 2017 – said Michigan football first stood out well before receiving a formal offer, as early as his childhood.
“Everyone looks up to Michigan, I’ve always looked up to Michigan and playing in the Big House. Michigan is Michigan….Michigan stands out because…they have great tradition….Michigan football speaks for itself.”
In addition to telling Maize ‘n Brew that “(Michigan) is very high on my list,” Rogers further certified that Coach Harbaugh’s west coast presence is something that has had great influence on many recruits from that region.
“Everybody likes Coach Harbaugh, he’s the real deal.”
Greg Rogers says he will visit Ann Arbor more than once, anticipating his first unofficial visit to the Big House to be some time this summer followed by an official visit during the 2016-17 season.
As of Monday evening the 2017 standout tweeted “#iWill” in response to an offer to play in the Under Armour All-American game, the likeliest reason behind plans to announce his decision in December or January.
