Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka captured his first ever Grand Slam title after beating Rafa Nadal in the Australian Open on Sunday, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. The crowd and Wawrinka got a little frustrated with Nadal after he took a seven minute injury timeout for his back during the second set. Wawrinka voiced his displeasure with the chair umpire, and when Nadal finally returned, the Australian crowd started booing him.
Whether it was a stall tactic by Nadal or not, it clearly didn’t carry over to when the two greeted each other after the final point in this cool exchange:
