The all-time leading scorer in U.S. Soccer history, Landon Donovan, announced to ESPN that he will retire following the 2014 MLS season with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Donovan, who scored the game-winning goal last night in the MLS All-Stars win over Bayern Munich, has scored 105 goals in 229 appearances since joining the Galaxy in 2005. Donovan helped out ESPN’s World Cup coverage this year after he was controversially left off the 2014 team over his conditioning.
