The broadcast during the Columbus Crew vs. Philadelphia Union match on Saturday featured a little surprise for all. During the second half, Deadspin uncovered that the Time Warner Sports broadcasted game in Ohio, had a moaning woman sound in the background.
Update: TimeWarner issued an apology:
“We apologize to viewers who heard inappropriate noises during our telecast of yesterday’s Columbus Crew game. it is unfortunate that a fan prank interfered with our live production and we will prevent that from happening in our future telecasts.”
The MLS, which gets less viewers than the WNBA, should expect a few more eyeballs on their games if they continue playing this soundtrack.
