Matt Lauer takes jab at Bob Costas’ pink eye

You’ve got to give it up to Bob Costas for powering through his unfortunate pink eye and continue to broadcast for NBC. However, a jab here and there seems fair. On the Today Show on Friday morning, Matt Lauer, who briefly took Costas’ spot for NBC’s prime-time Olympic coverage, asked Costas if he was taking the red-eye back to the United States. Well played, Lauer, and Costas for that matter.
