The Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals squared off in an epic line brawl after the Capitals were busy destroying the Flyers 7-0 early in the third period. Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds was clearly looking for a fight and found when he dropped the gloves with Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Flyers goalie Ray Emery snapped and went down the ice and forced Braden Holtby into a fight. After Emery started to pummel Holtby, the rest of the players engaged in a brief melee.
Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo had some advice for other goalies in regards to fighting Ray Emery:
Just an FYI. If Ray Emery ever decides to skate down the ice and try to fight me I'm getting the fuck out of dodge!!!
