New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski seems to really be enjoying his offseason. He made his way to Fort Myers, Florida for a Florida Everblades-Fort Wayne Komets ECHL game and played some dodgeball after the game. Nothing short of awesome.
From Ryan Toohey of the Naples News:
“The (Blades) got a win tonight, and we got some dodgeball in,” the Super Bowl XLIX-winning tight end said. “My throws were kind of off, but they had some power behind it. It was good to see the hometown team get a win. It’s good for the town, and it’s cool that everyone comes out to support them.”
Gronkowski, whose mother has an Estero home in Miromar Lakes, is a semiannual visitor of Southwest Florida.
“This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen,” Gronkowski said. “I visit the area a couple of times a year. I like to chill and do some stuff around the town; we come to some Everblades games once in a while.”
