It was no secret that the Oakland Raiders coveted Jim Harbaugh to be their next coach. As we all know, however, Harbaugh turned down the Raiders to return to his Alma Mater.
This morning on Sports Radio 810 WHB, sports radio and television announcer, Kevin Harlan, said one coach –potentially Jim Harbaugh–was offered a very large contract to come to the Raiders.
Reported on WHB this a.m. by CBS' Kevin Harlan: Raiders offered one coach $10 million per year. Turned it down.

If Harbaugh was in fact offered $10M a year -it could also have been Jon Gruden- it speaks volumes as to how much the former 49ers coach wanted to return to Ann Arbor. Harbaugh’s accepted a deal with Michigan for $5M a year.
The Raiders also reportedly hired former Broncos DC Jack Del Rio to be team’s next coach. It is still unknown what the offer was, but we can guarantee it’s less than $10M.
