There had been rumors for a while that the Jacksonville Jaguars would get new uniforms for the 2013-2014 NFL season. On Tuesday, the Jaguars unveiled their new logo that would be accompanying their new uniforms. Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, who acquired the team on January 4th, 2012, wanted to make his mark with the franchise and decided to change the logo. It appears the plan is to emphasize black more than teal as their primary color.
Here is the new primary logo:
The Jaguars also unveiled a new team motto/theme for 2013, which was “Stand United.”
Just like the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions, the Jaguars didn’t change their logo that much, but they decided to modernize it more. They did a great job of making the Jaguar look meaner, and the details are fantastic. I don’t think that they could have done a better job, and if I’m a Jacksonville fan, I’m excited about the new look. Well done.
