Chip Kelly turned down a chance to go to the NFL and to returned to Oregon, according to sources. Considered Eagles but stayed at Oregon.

Adam Schefter wouldn’t be reporting it if it wasn’t true. This is pretty surprising, given the fact that Oregon could face NCAA sanctions, and it looked as though he was going to make the jump to the NFL.
Chip Kelly considered Eagles but ultimately decided it was better to stay at Oregon.

You can bet now that after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the alter last year, and flirting with the NFL this year and turning multiple teams down that Kelly won’t be high on many teams coaching lists in the future.

Perhaps Kelly wanted to win a National Championship, maybe he didn’t get the right offer from the NFL with personnel control, or more than likely, Phil Knight threw a blank check at him. Whatever it was, Oregon Ducks fans can rejoice now, and I’m sure they will all be pleased with this decision.
I can confirm reports that #Oregon coach Chip Kelly is staying in college. Apparently, #Nike founder Phil Knight stepped up.
