Mike Brown’s agent told USA Today that the Los Angeles Lakers have fired head coach Mike Brown. The new look Lakers couldn’t gel as a unit. They went 0-8 during the preseason and 1-4 to start the season.
Within past 24 hours, Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak had pushed ownership to give Mike Brown more time before firing him, sources tell Y! Sports.

It will be interesting to see who replaces Brown. Speculation is that Jerry Sloan and Mike D’Antoni are the frontrunners, but it’s possibly someone like Phil Jackson or Brian Shaw, two guys who have been apart of the organization before, will be the next head man. Whoever it is, they better get the Lakers’ ship turned around quickly and be able to withstand death stares from Kobe:
