The Cavaliers took Game 4 over the Chicago Bulls but they may have been lucky to do so. In the final seconds of the game – head coach David Blatt tried to call a timeout with the Cavs having none left. Lucky for Blatt and the Cavs, refs didn’t catch his near fatal mistake.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, unlike Blatt, refs knew the timeout situation for the Cavs and didn’t even look at Cleveland’s bench.
Windhorst: The officials and Tyronn Lue saved Blatt from a technical. The refs knew they were out of TO, they didnt even look at the bench.
