The Cavs will be without their starting center for the remainder of the season. Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com is reporting that Anderson Varejao tore his achilles during Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves. The injury happened during the third quarter after the 32-year-old dove to the grove. Varejao, who was averaging 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 26 games this season, will most likely be replaced in the starting lineup by Tristan Thompson. It’s even more likely the Cavs will look to add a big before the trade deadline. Jermaine O’Neal certainly fits the mold.
