The Chicago Bulls had initial talks but that’s as far as it went with free-agent point guards Nate Robinson, Mike James and Jannero Pargo because it was announced that Derrick Rose would return this year.

Now that Chicago will be without Jimmy Butler, who injured his elbow and will be out 3-to-6 weeks, it would be wise for the Bulls to talk to these guards again.
All three, James, Robinson and Pargo, have previously played for the Bulls and could be signed on 10-day contracts.

Also, with Taj Gibson’s injury likely taking him out for the remainder of March, JaVale McGee could be a possibility. The free-agent center, who was recently bought out by the 76ers, would add some needed front-court depth.
