Notes:
Somehow the New Orleans Hornets get the prize of the NBA draft, Anthony Davis. Let the conspiracy theories continue.
The Portland Trailblazers, after trading with the Nets, have two picks in the top #11 of the draft. Trading soon-to-be free agent, Gerald Wallace, and getting the #6 pick in return is like a magical move. With two high draft picks, the Trailblazers could be a better Western Conference team next year with a core of LeMarcus Aldridge and Wes Mathews.
The Charlotte Bobcats broke the NBA record for lowest win percentage in a season and had the highest odds of landing Davis and the #1. However, Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Bobcats will have to wait another season to get the #1 pick and settle for MKG this draft.
The Brooklyn Nets just built a $1 billion dollar stadium and star point guard Deron Williams may leave in free-agency. Not having a 1st round pick is the last thing the Nets need when trying to keep Williams and sell this team to any potential players. The future’s not looking bright for Brooklyn or Blue Ivy’s college fund.
