Curt Schilling famously pitched through an ankle injury (that turned into a bloody sock) during Game 6 of the ALCS to beat the New York Yankees and eventually break the Red Sox 86-year Championship drought. As we get ready for the MLB Playoffs to get started (the MLB division series will be televised on Fox Sports 1 this year), we look back at Schilling’s sock game, which happened nearly 10-years-ago, with this cool infographic.
Incredibly, the other sock Schilling wore (the bloody one was discarded at Yankees Stadium) sold for nearly $100,000 in an auction.
