Jon Lester pitched his shortest outing of the season Friday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, giving up 6 runs in 4.1 innings. What’s getting even more attention than his poor performance is the tweet that the 29-year-old sent during the 9th inning of the game.
Apparently it was his 3-year-old son playing the phone game ‘Temple Run’, as Lester clarified after the game.
Tough loss tonight but right back at it tomorrow. Please excuse my 3 year old's game tweet, he's new to twitter! #NVRQT

Nonetheless, Sox fans weren’t too pleased with Lester’s night.
Way better than 6 runs over 4.1 innings. RT @JLester31 I got 1,209 points while escaping from demon monkeys. Beat that! #TempleRun
