Austin Jackson was part of three-team trade that sent David Price to the Detroit Tigers at the end of the trade deadline Thursday. Instead of having Jackson finish out the 7th inning against the White Sox, the team replaced the soon-to-be Seattle Mariners center fielder with Rajai Davis with one out.
While it is undoubtedly difficult for each organization to say goodbye bye to a valued player, the ultimate goal is winning in October. This trade could very well do that for Detroit.
