David Ortiz’ Selfie with President Obama was Actually Part of Samsung Endorsement Deal

In case you missed it, the Red Sox visited the White House and President Obama on Tuesday. In addition to Johnny Gomes wearing an overly patriotic suit, David Ortiz took this selfie with POTUS, which initially seemed like just a fun, innocent picture. Of course, though, as most selfies are these days, the photo was just a Samsung endorsement. When the shot is viewed from here, one can see the phone, the Galaxy Note 3, that Big Papi used.
