The Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper took exception to a 94mph fastball from Julio Teheran during the fifth inning that hit him right in the thigh. Both benches cleared, words and gestures were exchanged, but nothing serious transpired on the field.
On Twitter, however, things escalated a bit more. First, Chipper Jones’ tweet was directed at Harper’s third inning home-run:
Don't walk off homers and u won't get hit!

The official Atlanta Braves account got in the act as well.
Clown move bro

The Nationals account then responded.
@Braves Which part, giving up the home run, or drilling the 20-year-old on the first pitch his next time up?
