Adam Greenberg’s last appearance on the baseball field was over seven years ago. As you probably have heard, Greenberg was hit in the head with a 92 mph fastball during the first and only pitch of his MLB career.
Greenberg was given a second chance by the Miami Marlins, who gave him a one day contract and guaranteed at-bat.
Greenberg faced NL Cy Young contender R.A. Dickey on Tuesday night and struck out in three pitches, but that’s far from the point.
No matter what happened during Greenberg’s at-bat, this is a great story for anyone who believes in second chances.
