KHL defenseman prevents empty net goal with save of the year candidate

Omsk Avangard defenseman Miroslav Blatak made a phenomenal glove save in the waning moments of their 2-1 loss when they had their goalie pulled. A turnover at the blue line forced Blatak to play goalie and he did one helluva job. The goal would have cemented Avangard’s loss but Blatak wasn’t ready to quit yet. This is easily one of the best glove saves you will see all year and it came from a defenseman.
