BCHL Linesman Ryan Dawson was trying to separate Vernon’s T.J. Dumonceaux and Prince George’s Christian Weidauer from a fight when the worst possible thing happened for Dawson. Dumonceaux was trying to reach around him to throw a punch and drilled Dawson right on the chin. Dawson’s knees buckled and he went down in a heap on the ice. No word on whether Dumonceaux will be suspended or if the league will pass it off as an accident. Dawson tweeted out that he was okay and just had to get some stitches:
All stitched up and heading for home! Thanks to @rbstripes90 and @BLdash7 for their support and patience waiting #trueteammates

Quite frankly, Dawson is lucky he doesn’t have a concussion. With the way his knees buckled after the shot to the chin, you’d think that he would have gotten a concussion.
