
It’s not often that you see a player pull out a wedge when they’re on the green, but that’s exactly what Phil Mickelson did on #15 at Merion. He was in an awkward spot and needed a way to get close to the hole to save par. Unfortunately he didn’t hit a great wedge shot and went on to bogey the hole. The bogey ended up costing him dearly as he went on to finish second at the US Open for a record 6th time.
