Golfer D.H. Lee was very frustrated after hitting a poor shot at the 12th hole during the 3rd round at the AT&T National in Bethesda, Maryland. Lee flipped the bird towards some fans after this shot where he was visibly frustrated. Lee picked up four bogeys on the back nine and played his way into a tie for 20th. He double-bogeyed the 10th hole, bogeyed the 12th and added two additional bogeys on Nos. 15 and 18 to finish +4 for the day.
After the round Lee told the Golf Channel that the finger was aimed at anyone, but rather his golf ball.
“I’m sorry for that,” said the 25-year-old South Korean. “No, it was just for me. My ball. It was frustration. It wasn’t aimed at anyone.”
It’s good to know that it wasn’t aimed for any fans, but he should probably do something different the next time he wants to vent some frustration.
