Wyoming Cowboys Head Coach Dave Christensen unleashed an absolute tirade on Air Force Falcons Head Coach Troy Calhoun after their game on October 13th, accusing Falcons players of faking injuries
That tirade has now gotten Christensen suspended for next weeks game, and he will not be allowed to be at the team facilities for the week and Assistant Coach Pete Kaligis will be running the team. On top of this, Christensen has been fined $50,000, making his comments extremely costly.
When the Wyoming Athletic Director Tom Burman was asked if Christensen’s job was in jeopardy, he replied cryptically “not today,” and claimed that he would be Wyoming’s coach next season. It’s tough to fire a guy that just recently signed a five-year extension, but accusing one of the service academies of something so unethical, while being 1-6 without concrete proof is not the best way to keep your job.
