With the Big Ten expected to issue some sort of penalty on Jim Harbaugh on Wednesday or Thursday, Tony Petitti, the new B1G Commissioner, has apparently been getting some heat from other programs to make a statement and suspend Harbaugh. However, journalist David Shuster shared that he was hearing that several other ADs/coaches are waiting for more information to withhold judement.
Hey @finebaum you declared again today that “every” big ten coach and AD (other than UM) wants Harbaugh punished. Who told you that? Because I’ve been told at least a few coaches and AD’s have been withholding judgment and told @bigten they want more info. #ESPN #OSUlapdog

According to athletic dept. contacts at a UM rival @bigten school, reports that all head coaches and all AD’s in the conference want @CoachJim4UM punished are “incorrect.” The claim the big ten is “unanimous” has been a mainstay of several media reports especially @espn 1/

Sources at the UM rival say “it’s accurate to report a majority of conference AD’s and coaches want immediate action.” But the source says there are “a few coaches and AD’s” who want more info and are withholding judgment. 2/ https://t.co/1D5NARIAcb
