With there were rumblings that Michigan was set to hire Chiefs DL coach Joe Cullen,
that no longer appears to be the case as former Giants/Ravens DC Wink Martindale is the clear front-runner. As 247sports reports, Martindale, who has 20 years of experience in the NFL, is set to be in Ann Arbor for an interview on Thursday:
Wink Martindale is set to meet with Michigan tomorrow about its defensive coordinator job, sources tell @247Sportshttps://t.co/dJORJ80Uo5 https://t.co/fhq62fK0XP pic.twitter.com/2O7KWgMF1R

The last time Martindale was a college coach? In 2003 at Western Kentucky, where he worked under Jack Harbaugh.
Martindale designed the scheme that Michigan has been running the past few years under Jesse Minter and Mike MacDonald with the Ravens when he was their DC.
