Rivals’ Mike Farrell published an article highlighting the programs which have recruited the best over the past five years. Michigan, which finished 18th, would have been much higher if not for its 2015 and 2014 classes:

Ranks last 5 years: 4, 4, 51, 31, 5 — 19.0

Judge Farrell: UNDERACHIEVED.Michigan‘s two good years under Jim Harbaugh don’t offset two awful years under Brady Hoke and they still don’t have a Big Ten divisional title.

Alabama took the No. 1 spot with Ohio State at No. 2 and FSU at No. 3.
