Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Acheampong flipped from Michigan to Miami before signing day last season. He was a top 100 recruit according to On3 but did not see the field as a freshman for Miami.
There were rumblings that he was looking for a bigger NIL deal out of high school. Michigan didn’ appear to get involved this time around.
