With the early signing period just around the corner, No. 1 recruit Jeremiah Smith, an Ohio State pledge, is still being pursued by local schools Florida State and Miami. During his recent High School Championship Game, Brian Hartline, the Buckeyes WR coach and star recruiter, was apparently in attendance for the game.
However, it’s now been alleged that the two had contact again on Friday (as shown in the picture) which is an NCAA violation. As a coach, Hartline is allowed to have once-a-week contact with Smith, which occurred on Thursday. Any second in-person visit in a week is an NCAA violation.
Interesting to see @brianhartline commit a pretty clear recruiting violation today. 🤔
Conducted his only allowed contact visit yesterday with Jeremiah Smith. Smith was at the State Championship game today when Hartline went into stands to see him.

Smith was rocking FSU gloves to his Championship Game and is also scheduled to have an official visit to Florida State this weekend. Smith also had an interesting ‘comment’ about where he was committed.
Do you think FSU flips the No. 1 player in America Jeremiah Smith? 👀🏈
