NFL Coordinator Is Reportedly A Candidate To Join Michigan’s Staff

According to reports, former New York Jets OC John Morton is a candidate for the 10th Michigan assistant job:

Former Jets offensive coordinator John Morton is a candidate for a position (receivers coach) on Jim Harbaugh’s staff at @UMichFootball, per @BruceFeldmanCFB. Morton worked under Harbaugh with the 49ers. #Jets

Morton, an Auburn Hills, Michigan native, served as a wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator in the years before the Jets at USC. The 48-year-old was fired this offseason by New York after leading NY to the 28th best offense in the league.

Jim McElwain is reportedly also a candidate for the position.
