According to this report from the Detroit Freep, Michigan State is set to make Mel Tucker the highest paid coach in the conference:

Two seasons in, Tucker has beaten Michigan twice and reached 16 wins so far. The deal is reportedly for 10-years.
There were rumblings that LSU was in hot pursuit of the Michigan State headman.
