Ed Salmons, an oddsmaker for SuperBook in Las Vegas, talked with Sporting News about the current betting situation for No.18 Michigan. With 25-to-1 current odds to win this year’s national championship, Salmons is not riding the Wolverines’ betting train. Here’s what he told SN
“The only thing (Michigan has) going for them is they play in that God-forsaken Big Ten conference. It’s an awful conference with just awful teams. The problem is the people that vote think it’s really good, so you have to respect that if they are to win the rest of their games and finish 11-1 that they would get invited to the final four.
“If you put them in the SEC West, you’re probably looking at a last-place team.”
