USA Today CFB columnist Dan Wolken believes if Michigan wins this Saturday against OSU, they could be in CFB Playoff conversation if things get wild and teams are upset:
If Michigan beats Ohio State next weekend and finishes 10-2 with wins over Ohio State, Notre Dame and Iowa they’d have to be in the conversation for No. 4 if things totally fall apart.

Drew Hallett runs down all the different scenarios that could make it feasible:
Michigan would need:
Minny beats Wisc.
OSU beats Minny.
Auburn beats Bama.
LSU beats UGA.
Colo beats Utah; USC wins P12; or Oregon loses to OSU, beats Utah. But even then, we're guaranteed a two-loss B12 champ; U-M would be a two-loss non-champ.
Conversation? Maybe. In? No. https://t.co/tNMJdCUhiQ
