The No. 9 TE in the country, Jacob Mathis, has scheduled his first official visit, according to 247Sports’ Steve Lorenz.
Mathis, 6-foot-3 and 225-pounds, will be in Ann Arbor for the Wolverines’ October 10th game with Northwestern.
Michigan, with one TE already in the fold (Sean McKeon), is likely looking for one more tight end to join the 2016 class. Isaac Nauta, the No. 1 TE in the country, will visit Michigan for the Michigan State game.
The home-town Florida Gators will likely be Michigan’s toughest competition for the Tampa product.
