It was announced yesterday that John Baxter was returning to USC to be the special team’s coach after one season in Ann Arbor at Michigan. Chris Partridge, who was the interim linebackers coach for the Citrus Bowl after D.J. Durkin’s departure, could now be in-line for a full-time assistant position, according to Sam Webb:

Also notable from Webb’s tweets, Devin Bush Sr., the father of early enrollee Devin Bush Jr., seems to now be a candidate to join the Wolverines staff:
@pastormattstone that would be an outstanding turn of events, huh? ;)

Bush led Flanagan High School to a State Championship and was named the Florida coach of the Year by USA Today last season. If Partridge is promoted, the recruiting coordinator position could then open up for Bush Sr..
Jay Harbaugh, who coached the TE’s and was the assistant special team’s coach, seems to then be a candidate to take over for Baxter.
