I know what you’re thinking, “student government President?” How? Well apparently many Michigan students have a phenomenal sense of humor and wrote Jim Harbaugh in on the write-in option of the CSG Presidential Election Ballot. He ended up finishing 4th with 115 votes (1.26% of the vote) which is quite impressive.
Some more from the Michigan Daily:
A surprise write-in candidate — Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh — finished fourth in voting for CSG president, according to unofficial results released to The Michigan Daily by Law student Paige Becker, the University’s elections coordinator.
Harbaugh received 115 votes for president in total, including 82 votes for “Jim Harbaugh,” another 18 simply for “Harbaugh” and four for the joint ticket of “Jim Harbaugh and Diag Squirrel.”
Make Michigan’s executive ticket received 4,041 votes, while The Team’s received 4,036. The Defend Affirmative Action Party slate received 765.
Oddly enough, he wasn’t the only weird submission that the election had. “Jim Harbaugh and Jabrill Peppers,” “Jim Harbaugh and His Khakis” and “Jim Harbaugh and Jesus Shuttlesworth” each got one vote.
