Syracuse lost one the school’s biggest recruits in recent years on Sunday as four-star running back Robert Washington decommitted from the school. Washington, who originally committed to the Cuse over Michigan, Florida and others, says that he decommitted because Syracuse’s RB coach, DeAndre Smith, kept contacting his father even when he asked him not to.
Washington, ranked as the No. 12 RB in the 2016 class, also apparently had to create a new Twitter account because his father had hacked into his previous one. The Mount Holly, North Carolina native tweeted at several coaches (Jim Harbaugh, Brian Kelly and Jim McElwain) informing them of the change:
This is my new account my old account has been hacked by my father and I can't get in it @CoachJim4UM @CoachBrianKelly @CoachMcElwain
