While Sam Webb reported earlier Monday that Auburn had blocked the transfer of safety Derrick Moncrief to Michigan, it appears things have turned in the complete opposite direction and the Prattville, Alabama native can now play for the Wolverines.
Just received a text from Auburn transfer Derrick Moncrief ( @hotboy_shoemane ): "Got the release to #Michigan"

That does NOT mean he already has decided to transfer to Michigan or that he has been admitted. Neither has happened yet.

Moncrief was rated as the highest rated junior college safety recrut in 2014 before playing one season at Auburn.
While nothing is official yet with Moncief deciding to transfer to Michigan, this certainly is a start.
