Michigan added its first commit for the 2017 class in the form of Brother Rice TE Carter Dunaway. Dunaway stands at 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds.

Dunaway’s father, Craig, played under Bo Schembechler from 1980-82, catching 55 passes for 775 yards and eight touchdowns. His older brother, Jack Dunaway, will be a a preferred walk-on for next year’s team.
