The Wolverines missed out on top safety target JaDon Blair who picked Notre Dame over Michigan. However, could the Maize and Blue end up taking a member from the Irish’s 2025 class which is top 5 in the country? According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong, he this the Maize and Blue are trending with top 50 recruit and safety Ivan Taylor:
Michigan could again get hot on the recruiting trail real soon. The push for five-star OT Andrew Babalola continues, feeling good about two On3 RPMs, logged a new one, and Wolverines also gaining steam for a big flip. The latest intel here: https://t.co/k89heA1GNw pic.twitter.com/L7yw9sUfLj

Taylor, a Winter Garden, Florida product, is ranked as the No. 2 safety and No. 41 overall recruit in 2025. This would be a major addition to Sherrone Moore and Michigan’s class.
Michigan and Alabama recently hosted the 6-foot safety, who is the son of former NFL DB Ike Taylor, for a visit. We’ll see how things develop.
Several insiders have now flipped their predictions for Taylor to land at Michigan:
