A year after landing Nebraska LB Ernest Hausman in the transfer portal, the Wolverines landed another LB out of Big Ten country. Jaishawn Barham, a linebacker for Maryland, announced his intentions to be a Wolverine:
In his two years with the Terps, Barham started 23 games. He finished tied for second on the team in sacks (3) and tied for first in quarterback hits (3). Barham’s 37 tackles — three of those for loss — ranked sixth-best on the squad. He also had an interception against Michigan.
