With safeties coach Brian Smith off to Rice, Devin Bush Sr. has been promoted to safeties coach during Outback Bowl practice, it was confirmed:

Bush, who has been working on the recruiting staff for the Wolverines, was a first-round pick out of Florida State where he played safety.
