The Ole Miss Rebels lost a football game in the worst way possible on Saturday night. Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was having one helluva game and seemed to have one last brilliant play in him as he broke open and tried to get to the end zone. But as he got tackled, his leg got rolled up on and he fumbled the football. It seemed as though he got the touchdown at first, but upon further review, he fumbled the football and Auburn recovered it. So not only did Treadwell suffer a gruesome injury, but Ole Miss lost the football and the game.
Confirmed that Laquon Treadwell is having surgery tonight to repair a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle.
