JJ McCarthy honored his former high school teammate, Ryan Keeler, who passed away earlier this year due an arrhythmia caused by thickened heart tissue. Keeler, who played with McCarthy at Nazareth Academy High School, was honored by his former teammate on Saturday as Michigan took on his team (UNLV):
J.J. McCarthy drew a 47 on his left hand for today's game vs. UNLV.
It's a tribute to his late high school teammate, Ryan Keeler, who had worn the number for @unlvfootball.
Early in the 3Q, McCarthy threw a 47-yard TD pass, seconds after CBS shared the story.
