With the news that one-time Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor is planning to return to the Tide after a couple months as an Iowa Hawkeye, there have started to be some internet rumblings about the status of Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. Some Bama sites have uncovered that Downs no longer has Ohio State FB on his bio or follows them on Instagram (he has never followed OSU):

The Foundation, Ohio State’s NIL collection, posted the following about their ‘student athlete’:

It seems unlikely and one of the users who started the rumor that Downs is looking posted the following:
I helped start the circulation of the Caleb Downs rumor back to Bama.
I’ve seen it on message boards, Ohio St NIL collectives Twitter, and multiple very large accounts.
With that being said Caleb Downs isn’t coming back but that sure as hell was fun.
