Bryce Underwood’s recruitment from Michigan’s perspective has been well documented. However, Derek Meadows, a top 50 recruit and WR out of Nevada, not as much. Meadows, who recently took a visit to Michigan and Notre Dame, could be one to watch closely. According to an article by 247sports’ Tom Loy, if Michigan is able to land the No. 1 recruit in the country, expect the 6-foot-4 Meadows to join him in Ann Arbor:
For him, behind the scenes, if he goes to Michigan, I think the only way he ends up in Ann Arbor is if Bryce Underwood flips. So that really opens the door for Notre Dame. So if Bryce sticks with LSU, I do not see him going to Michigan.
We’ll see how things unfold but Michigan recently announced a new NIL innitiative – Passes – with the hopes they can flip the Belleville HS quarterback:
“Michigan is really his hometown. He has the opportunity to be a hometown hero. He has the opportunity to make more money. To me, it seems like a no-brainer.”
